- Photos and proof submissions for completed tasks

Google Calendar and Google Tasks Integration
PointUp offers optional integration with Google Calendar and Google Tasks to help families manage quest deadlines and scheduled rewards. This integration is entirely optional and requires your explicit consent.
Scopes Requested
- Google Calendar:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar - Allows PointUp to create, update, and delete calendar events for quest deadlines and scheduled rewards.
- Google Tasks:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks - Allows PointUp to create, update, and delete tasks for children's quests.
How We Use This Access
- Calendar Events We Create: Quest deadlines, recurring quest occurrences, and scheduled reward fulfillment dates. Each event includes the quest/reward title and relevant details.
- Tasks We Create: Active quests for children, including quest titles and due dates, so children can view their tasks in Google Tasks.
- Updates: We update events/tasks when quest deadlines change or rewards are rescheduled.
- Deletions: We delete events/tasks when quests are completed, rewards are fulfilled, or items are removed from PointUp.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do NOT read, access, or modify any calendar events or tasks that were not created by PointUp.
- We do NOT access your contacts, emails, or any other Google services.
- We do NOT share your Google data with any third parties.
- We do NOT use your Google data for advertising or any purpose other than the calendar/tasks sync feature.
Data Storage & Security
- Tokens: We securely store OAuth refresh tokens encrypted on our servers solely to maintain the sync connection.
- Event IDs: We store Google Calendar event IDs and Task IDs to track which items we created for update/deletion purposes.
- No Content Storage: We do not store copies of your calendar or task data on our servers beyond what is needed for sync tracking.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect Google Calendar and/or Google Tasks at any time from the app Settings. When you disconnect:
- All stored OAuth tokens are immediately deleted from our servers.
- All PointUp-created calendar events and tasks are removed from your Google account.
- No Google data remains on our servers after disconnection.
Google API Services Compliance
PointUp's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only use Google data for the calendar/tasks sync features described above.
- We do not transfer Google data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service.
- We do not use Google data for advertising.
- We do not use Google data to train AI/ML models.
- Human access to Google data is limited to debugging with user consent, legal requirements, or aggregated anonymous analysis.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties except in the following circumstances:
- With your consent
- Within your family group (as intended by the app)
- To comply with legal requirements
- To protect our rights and the safety of our users
- In connection with a business transfer or acquisition
